Neteller Bracing for Return to the US

Optimal Payments, the parent company of Neteller, the online banking company, is eyeing a tentative move back to the US market seven years after they left.

In 2006 the UIGEA was passed and in 2007 the two Canadian founders of Neteller were arrested and numerous player accounts were frozen by the Department of Justice. This led to the hasty withdrawal of Neteller from the United States of America. Now however, with the various self governed states beginning to change their stance on online gambling, Neteller is making tentative steps to reintroducing themselves to the US where, during the poker boom of the 90’s, they were the online banking company of choice for many online gamblers.

Online Gamblers used Neteller as it was the most convenient way to deposit as you could link your bank account with your Neteller account and transfer funds immediately. Withdrawing would take a few days, but it was still a lot quicker than most other companies.

With the imminent reintroduction, thousands of online gambler and poker players are eagerly anticipating the return of the company that made it so easy to play online.
